So, what is in The Parish Plan?
The Dedham Parish Plan has been created from the Public Consultation Questionnaire results
(A summary of the results can be seen here)
and identifies all the key actions that the community felt needed addressing in order to maintain and enhance the wellbeing of Dedham residents. Individual comments have also been included to demonstrate the strength of feeling in certain areas.
The Dedham Parish Plan comprises twelve individual sections describing the extent of public opinion, together with a comprehensive list of the Action Points that were derived from all the information provided:

- PLANNING
- SAFETY & CRIME
- COMMUNITY DEMOCRACY
- YOUNG PEOPLE
- ENVIRONMENT & CONSERVATION
- SOCIAL WELLBEING
- BUSINESS WELLBEING
- THE ACTION POINTS
The Dedham Parish Plan has now been adopted by The Dedham Parish Council who will work towards ensuring the action points are addressed. Whilst some of those objectives might be within the powers of the Parish Council to implement others will require the involvement of other parties to see if they can be achieved. All Actions will be addressed over the coming months and updates on progress, even where some may prove unachievable, will be made via the Parish Magazine and the Parish Notice Boards and Website.
The Parish Plan Steering Group have now completed and launched the Dedham Parish Plan
The Public Consultation exercise identified a very strong sense of pride in living in Dedham not just for its beauty, but for the peace and tranquillity and the friendliness of the community. The majority of people were satisfied with most aspects of the village but some areas were identified for improvement. The Dedham Parish Plan summarises those topics and lists the areas to be addressed to help keep Your Village : Your Way.
What happens next?
Dedham Parish Coucil has adopted the Plan and will be progressing the Action Plans within it's normal proceedings. They will provide updates on progress of the action plans through their website and other media.
